BIOGRAPHY

Stanton is very excited to be taking part in this year’s HandleBard summer tour, and can’t wait to get biking. After graduating from Bowdoin College, he trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, finishing in August 2015. While at drama school he played Amir in Mike Bartlett’s 13 (directed by Tim Hoare) at the Unicorn Theatre. Other credits while studying include Othello in Shakespeare’s THE TRAGEDY OF OTHELLO: THE MOOR OF VENICE, and Tom in MONSTER by Duncan Macmillan. He has most recently been in a production of MACBETH at the Southwark Playhouse, directed by Amy Draper. When not acting Stanton enjoys walking, talking, sitting, standing, and sleeping.

And his favourite Shakespeare quote?

“In time we hate that which we often fear.”

My Favourite Thing About The HandleBards:

Is the great sense of camaraderie that it fosters; everyone’s really down to earth and really generous!

If Shakespeare Was Alive Today:

I would ask him who his favorite character was and why.

The Biggest Adventure I've Ever Had:

Was leaving the States to teach English in France and then getting into drama school.
