DESCRIPTION:Pedalling from venue to venue with all of their set\, props and costumes on the back of their bikes\, the HandleBards are a four-strong troupe of actors who are spending the summer bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK. \nJoin the troupe at Knaresborough’s feva Festival at The Kingfisher Kiosk for a fantastically funny bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’. \nWhat’s the play about? Well – Rosalind and her cousin Celia flee to the Forest of Arden\, where they bump into Rosalind’s love interest Orlando. However\, Rosalind is disguised as a young man. We have improved access to the park where possible but this is a difficult site due to the steep inclines around the park.\nHeritage Centre and viewing area access:\nFrom the car park located at the top of Framwellgate Peth you can access the Heritage Centre with ease and use our disabled viewing area to look down on the Amphitheatre and over the park and city.\nAmphitheatre and lower levels of the park access:\nShould you wish to access the Amphitheatre and lower level of the park such as the Community Garden area\, we would advise you to use the North Road ramped access point. Ponchos and raincoats are just as fetching\, so please wear these instead.\nThis is an outdoors performance and surfaces may be uneven. The site has flat paths for access and accessible toilets. The performance takes place on grass which is flat – if you have any access related questions ahead of the performance please get in touch!\n\nNotes on Parking and Public Transport \n\nThe Metrolink is undergoing extensive improvement works from mid-July through the start of August\, and unfortunately NO trams will be running between the city centre and Media City or Eccles. This means that the tram stop nearest Ordsall Hall will be closed\, and all other nearby tram stops will be out of action as well. There will be replacement bus services – details have yet to be announced. DESCRIPTION:Pedalling from venue to venue with all of their set\, props and costumes on the back of their bikes\, the HandleBards are a four-strong troupe of actors who are spending the summer bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK. \nJoin the troupe at Floors Castle for a fantastically funny bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’. \nWhat’s the play about? Well – Rosalind and her cousin Celia flee to the Forest of Arden\, where they bump into Rosalind’s love interest Orlando. However\, Rosalind is disguised as a young man.
