Things get rapidly out of hand from there as foul deeds are done\, plots unravel and mysterious spirits appear… \nSuitable for all ages and apparitions. \nThe HandleBards are an intrepid three-strong troupe spending the summer touring Macbeth by electric van\, bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK. \nThis is an outdoor production\, so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on\, a picnic to dig into\, and dress for the weather! \nPraise for previous HandleBards performances… \n★★★★★ – “Explodes with energy and is a genuine treat from start to finish.” – The Stage \n★★★★★ – “Five stars just don’t seem enough…” – The Sunderland Echo \nNotes on Performance \n\nDoors open at 5:30pm\, so bring a picnic and come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings – however you can’t bring outside alcohol or glass to this performance.\nPlease note that Alnwick Castle does not have onsite visitor parking\, all attendees should use the public car parks located close by in Alnwick town centre.\nSeating isn’t provided by the venue so please make sure to bring your own – chairs\, picnics\, blankets and any other low-backed accessories are welcome.\nIn case of rain\, please don’t bring umbrellas as they block sight-lines for other audience members. Ponchos and raincoats are just as fetching\, so please wear these instead.\nThis is an outdoors performance and surfaces may be uneven. Alnwick Castle is a historic site with cobblestones throughout. The performance area is a flat grass area\, and is close to the gates. Disabled parking bays area available at the entrance (NE66 1NG) and an accessible toilet is located by the Courtyard Cafe. Any queries can be send through to info@alnwickcastle.com.\nThe castle cafe will be open providing hot drinks and food before the show and during the interval.\n\nImportant Ticket Conditions – Please Read \n\nTickets will also be available to purchase on the day at the venue for £21 each\, subject to availability. Forget the tears and tragedy\, our Macbeth is chock full of mishaps\, mayhem and mirth. \nWe all know the story. Three Witches promise Macbeth the Scottish crown and like any normal people would\, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth plot to kill the king. Things get rapidly out of hand from there as foul deeds are done\, plots unravel and mysterious spirits appear… \nSuitable for all ages and apparitions. \nThe HandleBards are an intrepid three-strong troupe spending the summer touring Macbeth by electric van\, bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK. \nThis is an outdoor production\, so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on\, a picnic to dig into\, and dress for the weather! \nPraise for previous HandleBards performances… \n★★★★★ – “Explodes with energy and is a genuine treat from start to finish.” – The Stage \n★★★★★ – “Five stars just don’t seem enough…” – The Sunderland Echo \nNotes on Performance \n\nDoors open at 5pm\, so bring a picnic and come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.\nSeating isn’t provided by the venue so please make sure to bring your own – chairs\, picnics\, blankets and any other low-backed accessories are welcome.\nIn case of rain\, please don’t bring umbrellas as they block sight-lines for other audience members. Ponchos and raincoats are just as fetching\, so please wear these instead.\nThis is an outdoors performance and surfaces may be uneven\, some of the slopes are steep\, there is also a fair amount of gravel which can be tricky for wheelchairs – if you have any access related questions ahead of the performance please get in touch!\n\nImportant Ticket Conditions – Please Read \n\nTickets will also be available to purchase on the day at the venue for £21 each\, subject to availability.
