DESCRIPTION:Tickets for this performance are being sold by the venue\, to book yours click here!\nPedalling from venue to venue with all of their set\, props and costumes on the back of their bikes\, the HandleBards are a four-strong troupe of actors who are spending the summer bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK. \nJoin the troupe for a fantastically funny bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’. \nWhat’s the play about? Well – Rosalind and her cousin Celia flee to the Forest of Arden\, where they bump into Rosalind’s love interest Orlando. However\, Rosalind is disguised as a young man. DESCRIPTION:Join the troupe at Polesden Lacey for a hilariously high-octane production of Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ like you’ve never seen before. Forget the tears and tragedy\, our Macbeth is chock full of mishaps\, mayhem and mirth. \nWe all know the story. Three Witches promise Macbeth the Scottish crown and like any normal people would\, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth plot to kill the king. Things get rapidly out of hand from there as foul deeds are done\, plots unravel and mysterious spirits appear… \nSuitable for all ages and apparitions. \nThe HandleBards are an intrepid three-strong troupe spending the summer touring Macbeth by electric van\, bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK. \nThis is an outdoor production\, so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on\, a picnic to dig into\, and dress for the weather! \nPraise for previous HandleBards performances… \n★★★★★ – “Explodes with energy and is a genuine treat from start to finish.” – The Stage \n★★★★★ – “Five stars just don’t seem enough…” – The Sunderland Echo \nNotes on Performance \n\nDoors open at 6pm\, so bring a picnic and come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.\nSeating isn’t provided by the venue so please make sure to bring your own – chairs\, picnics\, blankets and any other low-backed accessories are welcome.\nIn case of rain\, please don’t bring umbrellas as they block sight-lines for other audience members. Ponchos and raincoats are just as fetching\, so please wear these instead.\nThis is an outdoors performance and surfaces may be uneven. Parking will be in golf course field. If you have access needs\, please make a member of staff or volunteer aware and they can park you in the access car park. Subject to availability\, there will be an accessibility bus going from the access car park to the theatre site. The path from the car park to the theatre is relatively flat\, please be mindful of the slope leading up to the auditorium as the grass may be uneven in places. Please let the venue know in advance if you have any specific access needs – if you have any access related questions ahead of the performance please get in touch!\n\nImportant Ticket Conditions – Please Read \n\nTickets will also be available to purchase on the day at the venue for £21 each\, subject to availability.
